KATE MIDDLETON EVOKES an easy elegance during her regular activities and her role as Duchess of Cambridge. And when it’s time to dress up, she does it with a more glamorous yet still streamlined approach. And she is no stranger to wearing jewelry from independent designers. At the U.K. premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, she wore British designer Robinson Pelham’s Tsar Star stud and drop earrings, which mixed two ongoing trends: linear earrings and celestial jewelry. The diamond earrings sparkled as the star jewel of the premiere and complemented Kate’s Roland Mouret off-the-shoulder black-and-white column dress.

Kate’s jewelry is often in the news, as she has borrowed some of the Queen’s most sentimental jewels and tiaras and pieces that she was gifted that belonged to Princess Diana. When she isn’t wearing royal jewels, she is donning pieces from that are trendworthy from British talents such as Kiki McDonough’s drop earrings, Daniella Draper’s personalized pendant with the initials of her children and Robinson Pelham’s earrings, among other independent designers’ pieces. She actually wore Robinson Pelham earrings on her wedding day and has worn them to events since.

Her natural beauty shines through and her outfits are near perfect for every occasion, although she wears all with an effortless chic. During this premiere, as well as those she has attended before, she could easily pass for one of Hollywood’s A-listers as she can turn on the star power with the same confidence as when she wears jeans.

She continues to be a style icon and is well suited to her role in the royal family.
