ALEXANDER THE GREAT wore me into battle as a good luck talisman. Frederick the Great of Prussia was so enamored with me that he layered me throughout his palace (Google the “Chapel of St. Wencelas”). I was also a favorite of the greats of the Art Nouveau era, such as René Lalique. My defining characteristic — my apple green color — is due to trace amounts of nickel (which I happen to think is also pretty great).
