Thomas Sabo Expands U.S. Retail, Wholesale Business

(Press Release) NEW YORK– The international jewelry and watches brand Thomas Sabo will expand its presence in the U.S. market on Aug. 16, when it opens its first U.S. retail store. At the first flagship store to be opened outside of Europe, shoppers will be able to experience Thomas Sabo and its collections in a unique and exclusive shopping environment in New York City’s new Westfield World Trade Center.

“We are very proud about the opening of our first flagship store in the U.S., said founder and chairman Thomas Sabo. “This opening symbolizes a big step for the company in terms of positioning Thomas Sabo as one of the leading premium jewelry and watches brands worldwide.”

In addition, the wholesale team of Thomas Sabo has seen a recent entrant: Todd Tieche, formerly of Richemont, Morellato and Parmigiani, has joined as new wholesale director for Thomas Sabo US. He will oversee strategic expansionary activities and will contribute to nationwide business growth the U.S.

“We are pleased to see Todd joining our team,” said Christoph Gerschütz, international sales manager and head of sales, U.S. and Canada. “His expertise as well as experience in the market and connections in the U.S. will support the brand’s overall growth.” Thomas Sabo is represented in more than 30 states, Gerschütz said. “We are looking forward to seeing further growth led by Todd and his team.”
