Tiffany & Co. has named actress, producer and director Natalie Portman a global House ambassador and debuted a campaign film featuring her during the 98th Academy Awards broadcast on March 15.
The campaign, anchored by the HardWear by Tiffany collection, explores five interpretations of love, each tied to a specific Tiffany design. The film offers what Tiffany describes as an intimate portrait of Portman, who appears as herself — playing, according to the company, the many roles she holds as producer, director and mother. In a voiceover, she writes a letter to her daughter reflecting on resilience, vulnerability and self-worth. “Inner strength isn’t found. You build it, piece by piece,” she says in the film.
Directed by Mona Fastvold and Brady Corbet and shot by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, the film was produced on 70mm. “We were drawn to the opportunity to create something aligned with their historic identity,” Fastvold and Corbet said in a statement. “The film was shot on 70mm, a format that allowed us to reflect the brand’s craftsmanship with extraordinary fidelity.” An original composition of “Moon River” plays throughout, referencing the brand’s association with the classic film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
A print campaign photographed by Gordon von Steiner at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, features Portman wearing pieces from the HardWear, Knot, Sixteen Stone and T by Tiffany collections.
“Natalie’s sophistication, authenticity and intelligence resonate deeply with Tiffany & Co.’s values,” said Anthony Ledru, president and CEO of Tiffany & Co. “Elegant and courageous, she effortlessly embodies the modern Tiffany woman.”

Portman said in a statement that it is “an honor” to join a brand with “incredibly rich heritage” and “unparalleled craftsmanship.” She joins a Tiffany ambassador roster that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Greta Lee, Mikey Madison, Chase Sui Wonders and Rosé.
