TRACEE ELLIS ROSS has never been one to shy away from big earrings or bold statement pieces. The Nikos Koulis earrings she wore to the third annual Academy Museum Gala at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures were no exception.

Lean, long and luxurious, they stood out against her white Richard Quinn gown and brought back the form and geometry reminiscent of the elongated earrings of the Art Deco period — and era that has often served as inspiration for Koulis. They were constructed of square-cut emeralds, round diamonds and middle exclusive cut diamonds. Although they were linear, they moved and swayed like most of Koulis’s earrings and felt fresh and current. While many women would only wear them on special occasions, Koulis designs versatile pieces in the same vein that could be worn as part of a daily rotation These are aspirational as well as inspirational for when thinking about special occasions and beyond.

Looking for a Seamless Sale? Call Wilkerson

After almost 60 years in business, Breakiron Jewelers in Erie, Pennsylvania, was closing its doors. And the store’s owner, Linda Breakiron, was ready for it. She had run the store as its sole owner since the beginning of the millennium and was looking forward to a change. Of course, she called Wilkerson. Breakiron talked to other jewelers who had used Wilkerson and was satisfied with their response. “They always had positive feedback,” she recalls. With the sales, marketing and even additional inventory that Wilkerson provided, Breakiron insists she could never have accomplished her going-out-of-business sale without Wilkerson’s help. She’s now ready for the journey ahead, but looking back, she’d be sure to recommend Wilkerson. “They just made the whole process very seamless.”
