One Saturday, a lady came in, marched up to my husband and announced loudly: “I need a pair of big, beautiful gonads. The darker the purple the better!” There was a moment of absolute silence in the store … one which lasted until one of my sales staffers remembered this customer had been in earlier … looking at our amethyst geode book-ends. She then rushed over to find them, while the rest of us rushed into the back room before exploding with laughter.
