(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – VIBHOR, a manufacturer of private-label core diamond essentials, is leveraging their US retail partners to help Jaipur Foot, the largest organization in the world providing free-prothesis to people in need.
The company contributes $5 for every single order placed by their retail-channel to Jaipur Foot, contributing thousands of dollars annually towards the $70 cost of an individual prosthetic. More than 1.65m people in 29 countries have benefited from Jaipur Foot since its founding in 1975.
“Jaipur Foot is very important to VIBHOR, says company president, Peter Smith. It’s not a distant place on a map to us as our owners are from Jaipur and have seen first-hand the amazing work done by the organization through the years. To see that reach now extend to so many countries around the world is inspiring. The organization is literally changing lives one person at a time.”
VIBHOR has no collection boxes or fliers that go out to their retail partners. The work is done quietly and with dignity. “We’ve actually got to do a better job letting our retailers know that they are really making a difference in the lives of so many people.” says Smith.
Jaipur Foot is run by D.R. Mehta, a graduate of the Sloan School of Management at MIT and a former Deputy Governor of the Indian Reserve Bank and Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India. He was moved to dedicate his life to Jaipur Foot after a near-death experience saw him almost lose a leg to amputation. www.jaipurfootusa.org
