This week’s complete document of dates and to-dos will be uploaded Sunday morning, February 8. You can find it on INSTORE’s home page in the “Action Content” area or in our “Jewelry Pro Planner” Sunday email. Sign up to receive “Jewelry Pro Planner”.

Week 6: Feb 9-15

SALES FLOOR: If you hand out roses to customers, buy them early this week. Roses from a florist won’t wilt for five to seven days if you care for them properly (a night in water helps). But prices spike — often double — as Valentine’s Day gets closer. Buy early.

MARKETING: Email reminder on Wednesday morning: “Three days left ‘til Valentine’s Day!” List your top 10 ideas for gifts.

STAFF: Share the love on Friday morning. Buy chocolates for your employees this Valentine’s Day. Inscribe the card “Love your work!” or if you don’t want to use the “L” word, try “Sugar rush courtesy of management!”

More holidays: International Flirting Week (Feb 8-14), Galentine’s Day (Feb 13), Valentine’s Day (Feb 14)
