Wholesale Jeweler Robbed at Gunpoint

The crime took place in a Trader Joe’s parking lot.

Three suspects robbed an out-of-town wholesale jeweler at gunpoint at 4 p.m. on May 4 in the parking lot of a Santa Barbara, CA, shopping center.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the robbery, the Jeweler’s Security Alliance reports. The passenger side front window of his vehicle was knocked out. The suspects, who were wearing black, reportedly fled in a black Lexus.

KEYT-TV reports that the robbery took place in a Trader Joe’s parking lot.

The victim reported being robbed of a large amount of jewelry, according to KEYT.

The suspects apparently knew of the jewelry that the victim had and targeted the victim specifically, police said.
