I KNOW. HOW MANY times can you read how Zendaya stole the show and evoked the essence of Hollywood glamour? Well, you need to read it one more time. This is one of those looks that will go down in history as one of the 10 or 20 best red carpet styles. Bulgari could not have chosen a better ambassador (besides its other ambassador, Anne Hathaway) to wear its jewels with the elegance and independent spirit that speaks to a new generation of women just getting to know the brand. And Bulgari itself has once again created the magic that made it one of the most renowned brands worn by legendary Hollywood actresses such as Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida.
I have studied celebrity jewelry and have even written a book on the topic, If These Jewels Could Talk, and Zendaya embodies the grace, sophistication and allure of Old Hollywood glamour made modern by a fresh-faced, joyous actress.

She was dressed in a pink strapless Valentino Haute Couture silk bustier gown covered in 190 roses on the skirt and long train. Zendaya’s necklace was a statement but never took away from her own glow. It was from Bulgari’s High Jewelry collection and featured a yellow gold setting with a cushion tanzanite, cushion morganite, cushion aquamarine and 17 round spinels popping from 24 pear-shaped, 65 round brilliant-cut and pavé-set diamonds. An all-diamond cuff bracelet complemented the necklace’s myriad colored gemstones.
Altogether, it is definitely a look that will influence jewelry and fashion and an image that will be around for years to come.
