As 2025 comes to an end , INSTORE takes a look back on the year in jewelry as worn by celebrities and either became trends or were inspired by those already in the making. Here is a list of what we saw that all informed looks and styling we believe will continue into 2026: Archival antique and vintage treasures, back jewelry, hair adornments, fringe earrings, Bulgari Serpenti pieces in all variations at multiple awards, chokers, statement necklaces, fingers full of rings, Art Deco bracelets, vibrant colored stones and a bevy of brooches worn together.

Archives bracelets in platinum with diamonds (1930-39) and Tiffany & Co.Archives bracelet in platinum-iridium with diamonds (1957) and Tiffany & Co. Back In Style

Sensuous Snakes

Throughout the 2025 Awards season Bulgari’s Serpenti pieces were seen on multiple celebrities but none so awe-inspiring as those that slinked around Lisa’s (of the K-pop group BLACKPINK and White Lotus) neck and wrist at the Emmy Awards. These one-of-kind Bulgari Serpenti necklace and bracelet sparked with an enchanting mix of gemstones, including mandarin garnet, marquise-shaped fancy sapphires, and pear-shaped orange garnets.

Putting A Ring On It

Not just any ring and not just on any star. Taylor Swift’s engagement ring of an elongated old cushion cut diamond, bezel set in yellow gold with hand engraved shank with which Travis Kelce popped the question has created a new flurry for antique and vintage diamonds, particular those that are rectangular in shape. Although old mine and cushion cut diamonds have been an ongoing shape for engagement rings for over 20 years, Swift has brought them into the forefront for brides-to-be who might have been too young to witness the start of the trend or might not have taken notice before. The ring also shone a light on designer Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry who designed Swift’s ring.

Color Forms

Vibrantly colored gemstones are having more than a moment as they continue to go forward in different shapes, cuts, and combinations. Cartier ambassador Riley Keough wore a stunner of a Cartier necklace to the “Jay Kelly” premiere — the Cafayate necklace from the En Équilibre collection dipped down to her decolletage and was created in 18K yellow and rose gold set with two opal cabochons complemented by Umba sapphires, fancy color sapphires and diamonds.

Isn’t It Charming

Emily Blunt wore various designers pieces to the 2025 Venice International Film Festival with a baby-blue Schiaparelli gown with jeweled straps that look like brooches in hammered gold brass and enamel. One was a necklace, which features three textured charms that seem to have letters or initials on them signaling that charm necklaces which have been going strong for the past 5-10 years aren’t slowing down.

Broaching The Topic

Julia Roberts gave new meaning to the IG hashtag #bringbackthebrooch or #bbb when she wore a smattering of them on a tie at the “After the Hunt” North American Premiere and Opening Night of the 63rd New York Film Festival. She wore different brooches to different events throughout promoting the film. While we had seen quite a number of ‘man brooches’ as of late, the trend for women died down but it has picked up again after Robert’s wore them in multiples and in myriad ways.

Arm Yourself

Arm bands or armlets, which date back centuries have returned as statement jewels. Some are now calling them bicep bracelets. While we have seen them sprinkled here and there over the past five years, this year might solidify them as the bracelet to watch for a new generation. Emma Stone wore an 18K yellow gold and diamond Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. version to the 2025 Venice International Film Festival. Zoe Kravitz wore a Jessica McCormack style to promote her movie “Caught Stealing” in which her character also wears one throughout the film.

Brand Recognition

David Webb remains one of the go-to houses for red carpet events, bejeweling celebrities in the company’s bold, colorful and sometimes whimsical jewelry. Film stars and musicians such as Natasha Lyonne, Helen Mirren, Doja Cat, Rose Byrne, Allison Janney and Sarah Paulson, and Adrien Brody to name just a few, wore David Webb pieces during events and premieres in 2025.
More recently Scarlett Johansson wore a spectacular piece at the New York City premiere of “Eleanor The Great”. She donned one of the series of Totem pendants, which the jeweler David Webb first introduced in the 1970s. These Totems combine large-scale colored gems set into even larger stones in mixed abstract shapes, featuring various textures.
