(PRESS RELEASE) Assael, North America’s preeminent purveyor of gem pearls and precious coral, will participate in New York City Jewelry Week 2020 in a virtual event on Tuesday, November 17th at 4:30 pm via Zoom. Assael will headline the pearl programming for the week and will showcase the brand’s unique legacy in the world of exceptional pearls, highlighting some of its exceedingly rare and responsibly sourced pearls.

“We are excited about this event. To headline the pearl programming is an honor. Assael has been in Manhattan since the beginning, for over 70 years, so it feels right to participate in this uniquely New York event,” says Christina Lang Assael, CEO of Assael. “The pearl, the world’s most ethically sourced gem, is a fascinating subject for endless conversation. We will have fun!”

As part of New York City Jewelry Week, the virtual event will be hosted by the women behind the Assael brand – President and CEO Christina Lang Assael and Vice President Peggy Grosz. Attendees will learn more about Assael’s acclaimed legacy in the history of pearls and will have the opportunity to view a vast array of cultured and natural gem pearls, including exceptionally rare Conch and Melo Melo pearls. Guests will also have a chance to ask any questions they may have about pearls during the live event.

“We are delighted to welcome Assael as a first-time sponsor of New York City Jewelry Week, and we are excited about their program Come Play Among the Pearls,” says Bella Neyman, co-founder of NYCJW. “Our audience will get to enjoy behind-the-scenes access to Assael’s Fifth Avenue treasure trove of rare and beautiful pearls, along with the expertise that has made the brand such an important part of pearl and jewelry history. It is the next best thing to visiting them in New York.”
