The sighting: Puerto Rican musical artist Bad Bunny has announced that he’ll be performing at the 2026 Superbowl! The rapper and singer revealed the news on video in front of a dramatic oceanside sunset. The star wore a soft brown suit with a white shirt and straw hat for the occasion and finished the look with a spectacular diamond necklace.
The jewels: According @adiamondisforever’s Instagram, Bad Bunny is wearing a custom supersized version of Vice Versa Jewelry’s Louise Line Necklace, created in partnership with DeBeers. The 14K yellow gold necklace features 16.21 carats of round brilliant-cut champagne diamonds.
Vice Versa Jewelry is quoted on @ByCouture’s Instagram as saying this about the piece:

“We designed this supersized version of our signature Louise Line Necklace in collaboration with @adiamondisforever to celebrate our love for warmer, deeper colored ‘desert’ diamonds. Its larger-than-life silhouette and 16.21tcw of unique round diamonds bring on a whole new level of charm and authenticity to Louise.
Her champagne-hued diamonds and gold heavy ‘macaroni’ design make this statement piece super wearable and something that doesn’t feel too dressy.”
The trends: DeBeers is pushing the concept of “desert diamonds” as a rebranding of warm off-white, yellow, and brown diamonds for fall and it really seems to be taking off. I’m seeing both the language and the colorway everywhere already.
It doesn’t hurt that browns and the warm tones that compliment them are already dominating Fall fashion.
What do we think? This is fantastic. I love that Bad Bunny gave this look a touch of sparkle and I find the design of this necklace to be really cool. The warm tone of the diamonds goes perfectly with the warm browns and off-whites of the rest of his outfit and the video’s background and the softness of the necklace’s curved links feels sensual in a way that really works for the rapper’s image and vibe.
It doesn’t hurt that screenshots from this announcement are appearing everywhere, in countless news articles and social media posts from people who are excited that Bad Bunny is performing at the Superbowl AND people who are furious that Bad Bunny is performing at the Superbowl. The controversy has catapulted this image and this video into extreme viral status as it is spread like wildfire by both fans and critics.

Judgement: 19/10 for a very cool piece of jewelry worn in an important moment.
