NYCJAOS Hosts Book Signing for Beth Bernstein’s New Book

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK, NY — The NYC Jewelry, Antique, & Object Show (NYCJAOS), owned and managed by KIL Promotions, will host a book signing event for Beth Bernstein’s new book The Modern Guide to Vintage Jewellery in Manhattan on November 20, 2025 at 5:30 pm at the Hyatt Place Chelsea (140 W. 24th Street). On the eve of the NYCJAOS Autumn edition, an informative panel discussion will highlight prominent jewelry trends from Bernstein’s new book, tracing the 1930 to the 1980s, with experts giving tips on how to find and purchase the most coveted styles from the various eras. Published by ACC Art Books, the coffee table tome that is sure to become a treasured reference for vintage jewelry enthusiasts of all ages. Free tickets for the book launch and panel discussion are available on Event Brite and will be required for entry.

“Beth’s book is perfectly timed, and we are delighted to kick off our Autumn show with an educational panel about vintage jewelry,” says Konstantinos Leousis, Founder of NYCJAOS and KIL Promotions. “Beth and the panelists, all of whom are featured in The Modern Guide to Vintage Jewellery, are true experts. An educated customer is the always best customer. We hope everyone will come, learn, and then enjoy their shopping at the show all the more!”

Hosted by KIL Promotions at the Hyatt Place in Chelsea (140 W. 24th St.) in The Placery on the second floor near the terrace, the November 20th book launch will include a panel discussion moderated by Bernstein. Panel experts include Lorraine Wohl of Elle W Collection, Dana Kiyomura of Keyamour, Amie Bourgeois from Rogue Vintage Jewels, and Susan Cohen of Circa 1700. Books will also be available for purchase and signing.

The Modern Guide to Vintage Jewellery moves chronologically through key eras: from the modern innovations of the 1930s to the wartime ingenuity of the ’40s, the charm-laden optimism of the ’50s, the rebellious and revolutionary times of the ’60s, the glitter and glamour of the ’70s and the confident sophistication of the early ’80s. Throughout, Bernstein spotlights the renowned houses and jewelers that helped define each decade. The insights gained are sure to help vintage enthusiasts with their treasure hunting expeditions at shows like NYCJAOS.

Bernstein reflects, “I became acquainted with vintage jewelry as a young girl through my mother’s and grandmother’s jewelry, as well as the styles worn by style-setting actresses I watched on TV in old movies. As a jewelry journalist and editor for 22 years, I have come to realize that vintage jewelry represents the cultural landscape of three generations of my own family, as well as groundbreaking global innovations of some of the most legendary designers and maisons who change with the times and continue to bejewel international collectors. This new book not only shares my passion – I hope it also helps readers to understand how jewelry reflects the cultural, social, and emotional currents of its time.”

The Modern Guide to Vintage Jewellery is the companion to Bernstein’s 2022 Modern Guide to Antique Jewellery.

Closing With Confidence: How Bailey's Fine Jewelry Achieved Outstanding Results With Wilkerson

When Trey Bailey, President and CEO of Bailey's Fine Jewelry, decided to close the Crabtree location in Raleigh, North Carolina after 15 years, he knew the decision needed to be handled with intention and professionalism. The goal was clear: exit the location while maintaining financial strength and honoring the store's legacy. Having worked with Wilkerson successfully in the past, Bailey understood the value of their comprehensive approach. "They understood both the emotional and financial sides of the store closing sale," Trey explains. "Their reputation for professionalism, results and care made it a very easy decision." The results exceeded expectations. Wilkerson helped Bailey's sell through significant inventory while maintaining the dignity of the closing process. "They don't just run a sale, they help close a chapter in the best way possible," Bailey says, strongly recommending Wilkerson to any jeweler facing a similar transition.
