Snake new SNAKEWOOD design

(PRESS RELEASE) VALENZA, ITALY — The world-renowned Xpandable Collection by PICCHIOTTI is celebrating its fifth anniversary. First launched in 2016, the Xpandable line achieved a rare and meaningful 20-year US patent in 2019 and now celebrates five years of continued growth and success. Because the traditional five-year anniversary gift is wood, the PICCHIOTTI family is commemorating this milestone with a limited-edition natural snakewood bracelet.

“What continues to excite me most about our patented and invisible Xpandable mechanism is the idea that great jewelry design can solve problems,” says Giuseppe Picchiotti, Founder of the house of PICCHIOTTI. “With freedom from ring-sizing and cumbersome clasps, the Xpandable designs offer luxurious comfort and ease. They have also become a template for continual experimentation, with exciting new materials like snakewood — the perfect symbol of our five years of expansion and customer satisfaction. A happy Anniversary, indeed!”

The 18 Karat Rose and White Gold Xpandable bracelet (style number B068) features round diamonds and purposely recut naturally shaded snakewood, with some strips appearing lighter and some darker. The distinctive and elegant design is both modern in its use of the unusual wood material and classic in its tailored styling. A limited quantity of only 5 bracelets will be made. The invisible Xpandable technology allows the bracelet to easily expand and contract with no clasp required. The precision Italian manufacturing ensures comfortable, durable wear.

In its first five years, the Xpandable collection has brought about a true revolution in the world of luxury jewelry. The innovative expanding design grants freedom from poorly fitting rings, knuckle issues, and ring sizing, as well as from cumbersome bracelet clasps. PICCHIOTTI’s loyal clients describe it as “a world-shattering” invention in fine jewelry.

The endless research and quest for excellence, combined with the continued improvement of the technology, have prompted PICCHIOTTI to regularly develop sophisticated new styles of Xpandable bracelets and rings. The designs reflect the celebrated jewelry house’s love of architectural inspirations and their commitment to using unique colored gemstones. The lively fashion-forward creations are made to stack and combine by color and style.
