(PRESS RELEASE) TROY, MI — The Jewelry Symposium (TJS), the jewelry industry’s annual international event dedicated specifically to the advancement of jewelry manufacturing technology, announced the launch of its second industry roundtable entitled “Rebuilding the Workforce,” as well as the launch of its all new app, and the opening of registration for the 2026 symposium. The event will be held at the Detroit Marriot Troy from May 16 to May 19, 2026. The roundtable, co-sponsored by MSJA and Jewelers of America (JA), will kick-off the symposium on Saturday, May 16 and will be followed by the annual TJS welcome networking dinner.

“The consensus from our inaugural Workforce Roundtable in 2025 was that our industry must change the way it recruits, trains, and retains talent,” says Linus Drogs, TJS Chairman of the Board. “This year, with Rebuilding the Workforce, we’ll take the next step by hearing from a variety of global industry professionals who are willing to share their successful strategies in attracting, training, and retaining qualified staff.”

In addition to in-person participation, TJS plans to offer virtual attendance to the roundtable. Any jewelry industry companies who want to share their successful strategies for retaining skilled staff are encouraged to contact TJS.

Additionally, as the TJS volunteer board constantly works to advance and improve the annual event, TJS is now launching its own app. Attendees can use the app to register, check-in, view the agenda, receive live updates during the event, download documents, share contacts, and participate in community chats. In the smart phone app stores, look for The Jewelry Symposium for Apple and TJS for Android.

Registration for the 2026 Symposium is now open, and the roster of speakers and topics is posted on the TJS website. Early Bird attendance fees ($1320/person or $1270/ea for 3 attendees) end March 31. Booking a room at the Detroit Marriot Troy prior to registering earns attendees an additional $50 off of the registration fee.

Guests can register for TJS 2026 here and secure group rates at the Marriot here.
