Bulova Adds Mechanical Pocket Watches and Tank Styles to Its Classics

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Bulova, a leader in accessible luxury and automatic timepieces, adds to its heritage Classics with new Sutton styles. The brand introduces its mechanical pocket watches and tank models inspired by Bulova’s early heritage.

A storied brand with over 147 years of uninterrupted history, Bulova recalls their foundation by immigrant visionary, Joseph Bulova, a jeweler who first started manufacturing table clocks and pocket watches, which propelled the brand forward to establish its first watch manufacturing facility in Biel, Switzerland. Fusing the classic elements of pocket watches with the distinct styling of the Sutton, Bulova introduces two new mechanical pocket watches with bold skeletonized dials and standout details.

Featuring a 50mm polished stainless steel case, snap case back with a beautiful vertical brush finish, and 30M water resistance, the new Sutton mechanical pocket watches are powered by an 8N24 21 jewels skeleton movement with 42-hour power reserve. The bale is customized to follow the architectural lines of the case with continuity through the chain with the signature Bulova tuning fork clasp. Offered in either silver with blue-tone Roman numerals and markers or gold tone with grey Roman numerals and markers, the watches are priced between $595-$695.

Adding to the collection even further, a new Sutton automatic tank watch is introduced, now as a bracelet version. Boasting a 33mm x 49mm rectangle stainless steel two tone (silver-tone and gold-tone finish) case, textured white dial, curved mineral crystal, 30M water resistance, and open aperture between 6 and 9 o’clock showcasing the heartbeat of the 82SO Miyota 21- jewel automatic movement with 42-hour power reserve, the new Sutton automatic tank is offered on a two-tone silver and gold stainless steel bracelet for $550.

Two additional quartz tank watches are also made available in a smaller size of 21mm x 32.5mm featuring a stainless steel case with gold-tone finish, mother-of-pearl dial, curved mineral crystal, and 30M water resistance. The first version featuring diamond accents on the dial is set on an alligator grain strap with tone on tone stitching for $350. The second version featuring Roman numeral accents and is set on a two-tone silver and gold stainless steel bracelet for $395. Both bracelet and strap are fitted with east release latched spring bars to allow for easy interchangeability.
