Chicago Responsible Jewelry Conference, Co-Located With INSTORE Show, Set for Aug. 11-12

(PRESS RELEASE) The Chicago Responsible Jewelry Conference, the place where the thinkers and doers in jewelry responsibility gather, will come together again this summer in Chicago, both in-person and virtually. With a mission to engage everyone in the jewelry industry, the annual conference brings together stakeholders at every level of the supply chain, from the mine to the store, to help create a more transparent supply chain.

The organization has announced that its 2023 conference will take place at the Donald E. Stephens Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The conference itself will be held August 11-12, 2023, with the Responsible Gem Boutique taking place on August 13.

The regular rate for attendees is $350, but attendees who register before March 15, 2023, will receive a $100 discount. Tickets are available for both in-person and virtual attendees, as the conference will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend personally.

Located just west of Chicago, near Chicago O’Hare International Airport, the Donald E. Stephens Center will host both the CRJC and the new INSTORE trade show for jewelry retailers. The co-location will help expand CRJC’s mission of a more responsible jewelry industry by bringing together businesses to create responsible supply chains for precious metals, gemstones, and other jewelry materials. It is an opportunity for attendees of both shows to expand their network and their knowledge, leaving them inspired and empowered to make the jewelry industry sustainable and supply chains transparent for years to come.

On the Sunday after the conference, the Responsible Gem Boutique will allow conference goers the opportunity to turn new ideas into action and meet with responsible source providers and distributors of a variety of colored gemstones and diamonds.

The goal of the Chicago Responsible Jewelry Conference is two-fold:

1: To create dialog among all participants in the supply chain, and to tell the truth, even unpleasant truths, to one another. Understanding and knowledge are the first requirements for change.

2: To initiate action among jewelry stakeholders. It’s not enough to just talk about problems; the industry must act to solve them. To date, the Chicago Responsible Jewelry Conference has motivated the launch of over a dozen worldwide initiatives. By coming together to learn, we inevitably are motivated to act.

You can be part of the change. Start by listening and learning, and see where it takes you.
