THE MAN BROOCH has been going strong for several years now and with each red carpet event, we see more and more men sporting one or more modern, antique or vintage styles.

The 2026 Golden Globes were no exception with Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Paul W. Downs, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Connor Storrie looking dapper in diamond brooches from renowned houses. But Coleman Domingo’s decision to wear a large number of Boucheron ivy brooches along with his elegant Valentino tux stole the spotlight. Domingo is known for his impeccable style as well as his collaboration with designers and stylists for red-carpet and other appearances.

Boucheron recently announced actor Coleman Domingo as a “Friend of the Maison”, which can be found on one of the house’s IG posts. It reads, “We are proud to welcome Coleman Domingo as Friend of the Maison. Actor, writer, director and producer, Coleman embodies a rare blend of audacity and creative freedom — qualities that resonate deeply with Boucheron’s spirit. With acclaimed performances across film, television and stage and a distinctive sense of style, Coleman Domingo represents a powerful vision of contemporary expression. Welcome to the family!”

Domingo wore the diamond ivy brooches from the Untamed Nature collection of the Histoire de Style High Jewelry line, which will be unveiled in its entirety during Paris Couture Week. Domingo also wore a Boucheron Quatre Black Edition large ring with diamonds in white gold and a Quatre Black Edition ring in white gold and the Quatre Radiant Edition single ear clip with diamonds.

The ivy motif dates back to the years after Frédéric Boucheron opened his jewelry shop in the Palais Royal arcade, across from the Louvre. He was fascinated and inspired by the wild ivy climbing over the buildings — it represented an untamed side of nature. He asked painter Paul Legrand to create the initial design which depicted ivy vines as necklaces in the shape of a question mark that were first produced between 1881 and 1889.

Then in 2017, the maison launched its Lierre de Paris (Paris Ivy) jewels, which paid homage to the original ivy designs.

The “Lierre” necklace of the 2025 Untamed Nature, “Histoire de Style collection, modeled after Boucheron’s favorite plant, ivy. It transforms into a brooch or bracelet.

The Untamed Nature Collection, which is part of the Histoire de Style High Jewelry collection, was launched with 28 designs in 2025. On the company website, it says that Claire Choisne, who took over the house as creative director in 2011, “offers a fresh perspective on this singular vision of nature, with a homage that transcends it by instilling a whole new dimension. Designed to be worn in innovative ways, her new creations show nature asserting itself and taking over the body, blurring the lines between the human form and its surrounding ecosystem.” It includes ivy, thistle, ferns, flies and bumblebees.

The brooches that Coleman wore to the Globes are an extension of this collection and hark back to Boucheron’s passion for the wilder side of naturalistic designs, which has become iconic and a signature of the house.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
