Color Continues to Trend at Gabriel in Easy Mix-and-Match Pieces

Color Continues to Trend at Gabriel in Easy Mix-and-Match Pieces

Author: Beth Bernstein

Colored gemstones have been trending for some time and Gabriel has been on top of the trend with a palette that ranges from pastels to vibrant hues. Their beautiful designs include classic gems such as rubies, sapphires and emeralds as well as newly rediscovered ones like amethyst, garnet, citrine and aquamarine and a refreshing use of Morganite. Gabriel also recently added a rainbow collection featuring a myriad of styles from stud earrings to layering pendants in circular shapes and floral motifs.

Speaking of layering — there are no rules to matching gemstone colors. You can wear tonal layers or go for a more daring look by wearing contrasting warm and cool colors such as ruby and aquamarine.

When it comes to the rainbow pieces, you can pick out one of the gemstones in the pendant or earrings you are purchasing and the layer that into your look. For example, with the rainbow studs, chose a solid stud and wear it in the second hole in your ear. You can also choose a few different shapes of solid-colored pendants and graduate them with a circular rainbow style acting as the focal point.

Gabriel’s savvy and creative designers know that you don’t always need big, bold, chunky pieces to make a statement — you can achieve the look with more delicate pieces in more saturated tones. In addition to graduating necklaces, try wearing a variety of earrings decorating the lobes or different colored eternity bands stacked on one finger or worn on different fingers on the same hand.

Here are some looks we think are perfect to start with or add to other gemstone styles in your existing jewelry wardrobe. You can also start with one or two pieces from this collection and layer in others as you get more comfortable with mixing up these beautiful hues.
