Couture 2016 Brings Positive Energy

(Press Release)
LAS VEGAS — Positive attitudes and energy defined the opening day of COUTURE 2016, which was held at the Wynn/Encore in Las Vegas from June 2-6. It featured the expansion of the show into COUTUREtime, located in the Encore Ballrooms and Villas, as well as the continued curation of fine jewelry designers and brands.

“We’re really excited with how the show has evolved,” says Gannon Brousseau, show director for COUTURE. “While we’ve expanded into timepieces, the sense of community that makes COUTURE so special has been maintained. It’s great to be back in Vegas among all of our friends and colleagues.”

Echoing that enthusiasm was Eric Ford from Neiman Marcus. “I’m really excited to be here. I’ve seen several new designers and everyone here has an upbeat, positive attitude,” he says.

“It’s going great so far,” says Cheryl Joseph from Casato. “It’s very busy, there’s an extremely good vibe and a lot of great energy in here today. In all of my 15 years of doing this show, I’ve never seen an opening day so bustling. And retailers are writing orders.”

The Wynn and Encore enhanced the overall experience for both brands and attendees. “COUTURE is the best,” says Maddalena Allegriti of Qayten. “I’ve had a great day, we’ve been very busy, and the show really takes care of us, which is one of the many reasons it’s so distinct from other shows.”

“This is the most positive energy I’ve felt at COUTURE in a long time,” says Lieb Gamble of June Simmons in Sarasota, FL. “Everyone seems so excited to be here.”

Many designers and brands launched new collections for the first time.

“COUTURE is far and away the best show around,” says Hanna Cook Wallace of Studio Jewelers in Madison, WI. “I differentiate between a brand and an artistic soul, and COUTURE seems to pay attention to intent when they select designers who exhibit with them.”
