According to The Jewish Week, a $10,000 diamond engagement ring that was unwittingly thrown away by a bride-to-be in Jerusalem was discovered and returned days later by a good-hearted elderly man. The home garbage bag containing the ring eventually made its way to a municipal dump, where a group of volunteers organized by the family spent hours sifting through tons of garbage. Little did they realize, however, that the elderly man found the ring on the ground the same day it was lost. He returned it after learning of the search for the missing ring and presumably received the $300 reward the family was offering.
