(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK, NY — Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, and the GEM Awards Committee have announced Chanel will be the recipient of the 2025 GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence. The prestigious award will be presented at the 23rd annual GEM Awards on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. GEM Awards honors the outstanding achievements of individuals or companies whose work raises the visibility and status of fine jewelry and watches.

The GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence is awarded to a brand for excellence in high jewelry design. The award is given to a company for a collection or series of collections that increase consumer demand for high jewelry.

“The GEM Awards Committee is thrilled to present Chanel with the GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence. The “Haute Joaillerie Sport” collection showcased the artistic creativity and the craftsmanship that Chanel is famous for, while simultaneously providing fresh designs that have consumers excited about the high jewelry category,” says JA’s Director of PR and Events Amanda Gizzi.

Chanel is a private company and a world leader in creating, developing, manufacturing and distributing luxury products. Founded by Gabrielle Chanel at the beginning of the last century, Chanel offers a broad range of high-end creations, including jewelry and watches. Chanel High Jewelry embodies the traditional French savoir-faire process. Each piece is made entirely by hand, from the initial sketch by the Fine Jewelry Creation Studio to the construction and creation of the piece by the craftspeople in the atelier.

In addition to the GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence, GEM Awards will also be given in the categories of Lifetime Achievement, Jewelry Design, Media Excellence and Retail Innovation.

Sponsorships, tickets and advertising opportunities are very limited and available now. For details on GEM Awards and to purchase, visit gemawards.jewelers.org.
