GJEPC Unveils Exclusive Gem & Jewellery Show in Jaipur for International Buyers

(PRESS RELEASE) JAIPUR — The apex body of the gem and jewelry industry in India, GJEPC hosted the 3rd edition of International Gem & Jewellery Show (IGJS) in Jaipur. The event, powered by Gemfields, was held from 12th to 14th April at Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre, Jaipur.

IGJS Jaipur is a curated event, showcasing the best of Indian craftsmanship, featuring over 54 jewelry manufacturers and exporters presenting an array of Diamonds, Loose Gemstones, Gemstone & Diamond Studded Jewelry, and Silver Jewelry.

IGJS 2024 witnessed 250 international buyers from 27 countries, spanning Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, and Uzbekistan.

Vipul Shah, chairman, GJEPC said, “India’s gem and jewellery industry holds a prominent position as a global leader, with substantial contributions to the world market. Our annual exports amounting to USD 40 billion underscore our strength and expertise in this sector, supporting employment for over 5 million individuals. We remain steadfast in nurturing robust international trade relationships between India and global markets. This commitment is demonstrated through initiatives such as IGJS Shows and by actively enabling opportunities for our exporters through participation in international events.”

Shah further added, “GJEPC is actively working with the government to facilitate favorable policies in FTAs for the sector. We have already witnessed the positive impact of the India-UAE CEPA, and we anticipate similar advantages for the industry in the forthcoming FTAs with GCC, Canada, UK, and EU.”
