He 3D-Printed an Engagement Ring Based on Human Heart Fibers — And She Said Yes! Take a Look

Fastco Design reports on a man who used 3D printing to create an engagement ring based on data visualization of human hear fibers. That may sound strange, but the jewelry was perfect for his now-wife, Nina Tandon, who works in the field of tissue engineering.

The platinum band was designed by Manca Ahlin. Keating bought a lab-grown diamond — a 2.08-carat, super ideal cut stone — from Brilliant Earth to go with it.

Tandon tells Fastco Design she loves the ring because it’s unique and beautiful and “because it’s steeped in my work and things that are important to me.”
