Hill & Co. Gains Prestigious American Gem Society Membership

(PRESS RELEASE) Global jewelry business management consultant Hill & Co. has been accepted for membership of the American Gem Society (AGS), the highly respected trade body for jewelry professionals.

“We are proud to have Hill & Co. join our organization,” said Michael Richards, CG, and president of the American Gem Society board of directors. “They share our commitment to consumer protection and a high standard of business ethics.”

Chae Carter, president of Carter’s Jewelry of Petal in Mississippi, is an AGS retail member who has benefited from Hill & Co’s services. Elle Hill and her team helped Chae’s business grow massively, to the point that she is now ready to ‘fly solo’.

“I have loved working with Hill & Co.,” she said. “They have taught me and my team more than I could have imagined possible and helped us through very trying times. I have enjoyed our time together so much, and I have dreaded the day we wouldn’t work together (even though Elle told me many times it would come). I really feel they helped us do eight years of work in 18 months and I will forever be grateful to them.”

“The aims and principles of the AGS are completely in accord with our own,” said Elle Hill, Hill & Co. founder. “Helping educate, empower and guide some of the world’s most notable diamond, gemstone and jewelry businesses to greater growth and profitability is our passion, and we’re committed to ensuring that growth is sustainably and ethically achieved.”

Hill & Co. joins the Society as a ‘sustaining firm’ — one that provides business services to the industry. Sustaining firms commit to a strict code of ethics, which includes maintaining their educational requirements and keeping up with trends in the industry and ethical business practices.

Hill & Co.’s membership in the AGS follows on from Elle Hill’s appointment as the first woman on the Technology Committee of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation.
