Jeweler Nearly Triples Space with ‘Stunner’ of a New Building

Meierotto Jewelers in Kansas City has left its 12,000-square-foot building for a much larger home in a development that will also include hotels, restaurants, apartments and other businesses.

The Kansas City Star describes the new structure, which has 34,000 square feet on two stories, as a “stunner.” Features include “14-foot ceiling on the first floor and sparkling chandeliers” along with “cozy sofas in front of a fireplace.”

The business, which has 40 employees, had long outgrown its old digs.

“We want to help the business grow and expand and appeal to a whole new generation of customers,” said Meierotto, whose parents, Dennis and Carol Meierotto, launched the store in 1979.

The new store is located within the $134 million One North development in North Kansas City.
