Jewelry Store Employees Hold onto Thief’s Getaway Car as He Tries to Escape With $11,000 Watch

They slowed him long enough for police to arrive at the scene and make the arrest.

Two employees of the Ganem Jewelry store in Phoenix, AZ thwarted the escape of a man who allegedly stole an $11,000 watch from the shop, as ABC 15 reports. The article explains that after the thief asked to see the Breitling timepiece, he turned around and started running, biting one employee’s arm on his way out the door and into his car. Two employees raced after him and grabbed hold of one of his car doors long enough for police to arrive and pull him from the car at gunpoint.
