The sighting: Musical artist Dua Lipa recently attended the Fluminese vs Flamengo derby showdown football (soccer) match. In her selfie from the match, the singer wore a Brazil T shirt, her gorgeous engagement ring, and a lot of charms.
The jewels: Dua Lip is wearing all Martha Calvo jewelry, except for her engagement ring. Every piece is demi-fine and features large chain links with sizable charms.
Specially, she is wearing:
- The Martha Calvo Sanctus Necklace in 14K yellow gold plate with a variety of religious Saint coins and metals, listed online for $285.
- The Martha Calvo Mushroom Necklace in 14K yellow gold plate with a mushroom charm, listed online for $185.
- The Martha Calvo Barrier Earrings in 14K yellow gold plate; huggie earrings with a baroque freshwater pearl and fish and coral branch charms. Listed online for $165.
Dua Lipa is already a known Martha Calvo fan – we’ve seen her wear other earrings by this brand several times.
The trends: The main trend here is obvious: charms! Charms on chains, charms layered together, charms on huggie earrings! Charms have been big for the past year or two and now they’re getting literally big – more sizable styles jumbled together, rather than one or two carefully curated dainty charms.
We also have several trending motifs: fish, mushrooms, and religious iconography.
What do we think? This is fantastic. Not every star would have chosen to wear delightfully visible jewelry with their casual game day ‘fit, but I’m so glad that Dua Lipa did. It still feels low key, but the look is visible enough to be seen from the stands and shows so much personality that it makes me positive that the singer would be fun to sit with at a sporting event.
I also love that these styles are all demi-fine: just the thing for a potentially chaotic day at the stadium, where beer might get spilled.
Judgement: 17/10 for this affordable game day goodness.

Closing With Confidence: How Bailey's Fine Jewelry Achieved Outstanding Results With Wilkerson
When Trey Bailey, President and CEO of Bailey's Fine Jewelry, decided to close the Crabtree location in Raleigh, North Carolina after 15 years, he knew the decision needed to be handled with intention and professionalism. The goal was clear: exit the location while maintaining financial strength and honoring the store's legacy.
Having worked with Wilkerson successfully in the past, Bailey understood the value of their comprehensive approach. "They understood both the emotional and financial sides of the store closing sale," Trey explains. "Their reputation for professionalism, results and care made it a very easy decision."
The results exceeded expectations. Wilkerson helped Bailey's sell through significant inventory while maintaining the dignity of the closing process. "They don't just run a sale, they help close a chapter in the best way possible," Bailey says, strongly recommending Wilkerson to any jeweler facing a similar transition.
