The sighting: Musical artist Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers recently attended his Hollywood Walk of Fame handprint ceremony. He wore a black and white sweater over a white collared shirt for the appearance and added a brooch to the look for extra sparkle.

The jewels: Joe Jonas’s brooch was an antique piece from For Future Reference Vintage. While we don’t know the exact age of the brooch, this kind of design was especially popular in the Victorian era of the mid-to-late 1800’s.

The trends: Word on the street is that brooches are going to be big in 2026 and we’ve definitely seen enough celebs wearing them lately to believe the hype!

This brooch sighting is especially fun because it’s not on a lapel, collar, jacket, or other garment that naturally lends itself to brooch placement. Adding a brooch to a sweater requires inspiration and thought.

What do we think? I rejoice every time I see a man in a brooch and it is extra fun to see a man in a brooch as part of a more casual outfit, rather than a super formal look. I think it’s cool how the brooch blends into the weave of the sweater a little bit, making it feel more subtle.

That said: I have never in my life seen anyone wear a crescent brooch pointed up like this. Crescent moons are traditionally worn facing to the side, like a crescent moon. Maybe Jonas and his stylist decided the brooch should echo the vertical direction of the sweater’s motif instead of going with more classic placement?

I still love that he’s wearing it, but I probably would have turned the brooch sideways

Judgement: 11/10 for a fantastic brooch moment that left me with a minor question.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
