The sighting: The iconic Julia Roberts attended the 2026 Golden Globes in a sleek black Giorgio Armani gown with loose sleeves and a plunging neckline. She paired the understated gown with some whimsical, eye-catching jewelry.

The jewels: All of the jewelry that Julia Roberts wore to the 2026 Golden Globes was by Swarovski.

The showstopper here is the sizable pendant perfectly framed in the vee of Roberts’ deep neckline. It is the Swarovski Idyllia pendant necklace, a gold-tone plated metal piece with a 2” x 1 3/8” strawberry made from five shades of red crystals surrounded by clear resin and punctuated with marquise shaped crystals to represent the berry’s seeds.

Currently listed online for $400.

Roberts also wore Swarovski’s Idyllia motif ring, a cocktail ring version of the same design. Currently listed online for $300.

I’ve found one video where Roberts also appears to be wearing red and gold earrings, but I don’t see anything that resembles them on Swarovski’s website and Swarovski’s Instagram post about this look only mentions the ring and necklace.

The trends: Demi-fine jewelry on the red carpet isn’t a huge trend at the moment, but we have seen celebrities choosing to forego wildly opulent jewelry on red carpets during times of political upheaval.

While these materials are understated, the motif isn’t: the strawberries are whimsical and joyful, eye-catching and sweet. We saw fruit motifs in 2025, but citrus was the most popular variety. Are strawberry jewels on the up and up for 2026? Only time will tell.

What do we think? I have several conflicting thoughts about this look. First, I very much enjoy the strawberry motif – it’s cheerful and unusual and added a much-needed splash of color to a night without much interesting jewelry. I absolutely adore the marquise shaped crystals that represent the strawberry seeds and it delights me that Roberts added color to her monochromatic gown.

That said: I am not sure that I think the length of the necklace and the shape of the strawberry pendant are successful in this look. In some photos it looks perfectly placed, in others it looks awkward and too bulky to lay elegantly in the space of the neckline.

I may have some reservations, but one thing is sure: I will take an outside-the-box jewelry look that I’m not sure about over a boring jewelry look any day!

Judgement: 9/10 for a very fun look that I enjoy but can’t fully get behind

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
