The sighting: Actress Salma Hayek attended the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala in a vibrant green sequined Gucci dress and an assortment of gorgeous colored gemstone jewelry. Let’s take a look!

The jewels: Salma Hayek wore a magnificent statement necklace and an assortment of rings with her sparkly green gown.

According to Only Natural Diamonds, that spectacular necklace was Gucci High Jewelry and featured a 46 carat rubellite tourmaline alongside, pink tourmaline, green tourmaline, mother of pearl, and white and fancy yellow diamonds.

On one hand, Hayek wore the Boucheron Vendôme Liseré ring with morganite and diamonds.

On her other hand, the actress wore a pair of the new baby manta ray rings by Daniela Villegas Jewelry. Each ring takes the form of a baby manta ray with its tail curled around the wearer’s finger. One is styled as a midi ring, while the other fits more traditionally.

The trends: Fall/Winter 2025 is a big moment for statement jewelry, both worn solo and stacked. Hayek’s serious statement necklace paired with an assortment of cocktail rings is a perfect example of this trend.

I’ve also been delighted by the recent increase in celebrities pairing colored gems with colorful gowns, especially in contrasting colors like this pink and green moment.

What do we think? This is classic Hollywood glamour made modern and translated into technicolor. It’s fun, it’s cheerful, it’s luxurious, and I love it.

Pink and green happens to be one of my favorite color combinations in the world and Hayek’s outfit is a powerful example of why. The two colors simply sing when paired together; they play off of each other in the most joyful way.

Judgement: 16/10 for this pink and green dream

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
