M.S. Rau Opens Inaugural Seasonal Gallery in Historic Building in Aspen, Colorado

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW ORLEANS, LA — M.S. Rau, the internationally acclaimed purveyor of exquisite art, antiques and jewelry based in New Orleans, Louisiana, is expanding and will open a second seasonal location in Aspen, Colorado on June 6th, 2024. The pop-up gallery, located at 228 South Mill Street, will welcome visitors through the end of September.

M.S. Rau’s inaugural pop-up will occupy the entire street-level floor of a historic building alongside the premier luxury retailers in the heart of downtown Aspen. This occasion marks the first time since its founding in 1912 that M.S. Rau has ventured to establish a secondary location.

Like its famous New Orleans gallery, M.S. Rau Aspen will showcase a variety of museum-quality offerings including works from artistic visionaires like Renoir, Picasso, and Degas and accessories from many of iconic jewelry houses, including Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier and Harry Winston and more.

“We have a 15-year history of exhibiting here,” said Andrew Fields, president of M.S. Rau. “This pop-up marks a significant chapter for M.S. Rau and exemplifies our ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional art experience in captivating environments. We have long admired Aspen’s thriving art scene and its vibrant summer season, which attracts discerning collectors from around the globe. This location aligns perfectly with our clientele, offering an opportunity to showcase our world-class collection to a new audience.”

In addition, M.S. Rau Aspen will host special on-site events and exhibitions that connect with the city’s renowned cultural events, including the Food & Wine Festival, Aspen Ideas Festival and Aspen Art Week.
