Nordstrom Sued for Allegedly Selling Counterfeit and Damaged Rolex Watches

Plaintiff is seeking class-action status for the suit.

Online retailer HauteLook and parent company Nordstrom are being sued for allegedly misleading consumers about the authenticity of the Rolex watches they sell, writes The Fashion Law. The article cites an excerpt from the plaintiff’s suit, which says that HauteLook has offered both “authentic [and counterfeit] Rolex watches for sale to the general public. The watches are damaged, in poor condition, and contain non-Rolex and inferior parts. Defendants represent that the watches are shipped from the brand, but they are shipped, instead, from various jewelry stores.”

The suit, which was filed in a district court in California, also states that the retailer provides photographs of the watches to consumers that do not represent the actual watches being sold. The plaintiff, Vahdat Aghdasy, is asking the court that the suit be certified as a class action.
