(PRESS RELEASE) Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) announces its annual February gemological conference, which will be a virtual event.
The 2021 AGA Virtual Conference will take place on Feb. 16 and 17, 2021, delivering four gemological education sessions over two days, each day from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST). The event is open to everyone, and attendees can register to participate in both days or single-day sessions.
The AGA Virtual Conference will feature industry experts including Jon Philips with a global update on the diamond marketplace and Dr. Peter Lyckberg will provide insight into gem pegmatites and their related gemology. Wim Vertriest and Dr. Tao Hsu will share their first-hand account of attending Myanmar’s famed annual trading emporium for gems and Billie Hughes will present results of experimental heat treatments of corundum.
