(PRESS RELEASE) ROYAL OAK, MI – Roger Dery Gem Design has created grade-specific gem related games and activities to engage kids with learning about the gem and jewelry industry during the current COVID-19 quarantine. The resources are free and available to all members of the jewelry industry by visiting here.
The resources are oriented to be grade specific: Kindergarten-2nd Grade, 3rd-6th Grade, and 7th-12th Grade. In addition, a short “Careers in the Jewelry Industry” quiz allows kids to explore job opportunities in the gem and jewelry industry and learn more about each one. The goal of the quiz is to foster connection with local jewelers and create interest in their work.
Roger Dery is a precision colored gemstone faceter who is committed to giving back at the sources where he buys his gems and serving retail jewelers. During the current COVID-19 quarantine, he realized jewelers will be among those whose income will be severely impacted.
