Rolex Plans $1B Production Facility in Switzerland

Rolex is planning a $1 billion factory in Bulle, Switzerland, according to Swiss media reports.

The project is expected to be completed in 2029.

RTS public TV reports that the plant will create 2,000 jobs.

Rolex has not commented on the plans. But Oliver Curty, president of the Fribourg government, was quoted saying, “A project of exceptional magnitude is on track in Bulle with the prestigious company Rolex.”

There’s no word on what specific functions will be performed at the factory.
