Two maximalist diamond moments that prove Coco Chanel’s “take one thing off” rule was made to be broken.

IF YOU ARE A JEWELRY enthusiast, Sarah Jessica Parker and Emily Blunt are two celebrities that you’ll be watching as their jewelry is always on point and offers inspiration for styling your own pieces.

In a period of one week, SJP and Blunt both wore layered diamond necklaces, multiple rings, and earrings. Blunt piled on some bracelets as well. Their looks were completely different yet each had a modern Hollywood glamour vibe.

To accept her Carol Burnett award during the “Golden Eve” special, SJP wore diamond pieces from Fred Leighton, some that were designed by the house in the style of 19th century and others original antique pieces. I was particularly drawn to creative director Rebecca Selva’s inventive mixing, which consisted of a Signed Fred Leighton old-mine cut diamond riviere necklace in silver topped gold, which was fashioned after those made in Georgian through Victorian times and the authentic antique diamond heart pendant with European cuts diamonds worn a bit off to the side, while in the middle was a well-placed strand of pearls. The diamond rings (I counted five) included a rare Art deco black enamel and old mine-cut ring, an Art Deco old European-cut ring mixed with a Signed Fred Leighton rose-cut ring, European-cut diamond ring and a Signed Fred Leighton rose-cut eternity band. She also wore the Signed Fred Leighton Georgian-inspired, European-cut, collet-set drop earrings. And none of it overpowered her or seemed like it was too much of a good thing. It all was perfectly styled.

For the 2026 WWD Style Awards, Emily Blunt wore all contemporary designer jewelry from Anita Ko and layered her neck and wrist in diamonds, donned earrings and two bracelets — and none of it seemed too much. Like SJP, all of Blunt’s jewels were curated stunningly and made me want to start wearing three diamond statement diamond necklaces all together (new jewelry goal!). Her pieces included Ko’s Aria graduated diamond necklace, Large Marquise diamond choker and Baguette Zipper necklace. She also wore the Maya drop earrings and Ko’s curved diamond ear cuff with a pearl center. Her wrists were styled with a cuff and coil bracelet from the collection and she wore two differently-styled diamond rings on her fingers.

The whole “before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off” quote that is attributed to Coco Chanel certainly did not apply to these style-setting stars on the two occasions.

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
