Suspect Shot Dead in Jewelry Store Robbery

Police in Glendora, CA, shot a suspected jewelry store robber dead on Friday.

A second suspect in the takeover holdup is still being sought, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The crime occurred at Lamas Jewelry on Friday afternoon, according to The Associated Press.

A woman in a waiting automobile — possibly the getaway car — was detained.

The man who was killed was found by officers in the parking lot of an apartment complex near the store. He was shot after he failed to follow an officer’s commands, AP reports.
