TJA Texas Tours – A Great Success

(PRESS RELEASE)The Texas Jewelers Association’s newly named convention the “Texas Round Up” was the highlight of 2022 for the organization. The festivities took place at the 5 star Westin Hotel in Irving, Texas on October 16th – 17th, 2022.

Members from Houston, Katy, Irving, Tyler, San Antonio, El Paso, and Dallas enjoyed the sold out Meet and Greet with their specially invited vendors on Sunday, the Southwestern food and awards presentation at the membership dinner, and the private Texas Tours at the Perot Museum, Southwest Diamond Cutters, and Time Delay.

The attendees who chose to go on the private tours had a chance to learn more about the Texas jewelry industry outside the typical convention ballroom. Southwest Diamond Cutters explained their methods for recutting diamonds, and greeted everyone with coffee and bagels. The private tour of the Gem Collection at the Perot Museum was truly an unforgettable experience. Not only were they the only ones admitted to the hall to share in the exhibits, they also had a special museum guide to walk them through it. Robert Loving gave a tour of his new Time Delay headquarters and explained how Swiss watches are repaired and accessorized.

Membership in the TJA is reserved for jewelers who show commitment and responsibility to the jewelry industry and have a retail store in the Texas area. The TJA is the largest state organization in the US, with members throughout Texas and the organization sponsors networking events, trade shows, speakers, social events, a regular newsletter, and seminars.
