Video: Jewelry Firm Creates $1.5M COVID-19 Mask

A $1.5 million face mask made by Israel-based jewelry company Yvel may be the world’s most expensive.

It’s constructed of 18-karat white gold, the New York Post reports. It “will be decorated with 3,600 white and black diamonds and fitted with top-rated N99 filters.”

The mask was requested by a Chinese businessman who lives in the U.S.

Bloomberg reports that the mask weighs more than half a pound.

“Money maybe doesn’t buy everything, but if it can buy a very expensive Covid-19 mask and the guy wants to wear it and walk around and get the attention, he should be happy with that,” said Isaac Levy, owner of Yvel, according to Bloomberg.
