(PRESS RELEASE) Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) invites all diamond and jewelry enthusiasts to register and attend “Diamonds from All Angles”, a half-day Virtual Gemological Education Conference.
This AGA Virtual Conference will air on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm (EDT). Registration is open to everyone and includes participation in the live event and access to the recorded conference sessions to view on demand. Presentations will focus on diamonds and the diamond market.
Four renowned experts will share their knowledge and expertise covering diverse facets of the diamond industry. Sally Magana, PhD, GIA GG, senior manager, Diamond Identification, GIA, will explore all the colors and treatment mechanisms possible within CVD-grown and HPHT-grown diamonds in “The Synthetic Rainbow: Color in Laboratory-Grown Diamonds”. We’ll hear a brief overview of current diamond market conditions from Paul Ziminsky, CFA, a leading global diamond industry analyst specializing in global diamond supply/demand fundamentals, and the companies operating within the industry. Sara Yood, JD, deputy general counsel, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, will provide an update on the “Russia Sanctions Rollercoaster”. She’ll discuss what’s to come and how businesses can ensure they are compliant with ever-changing regulations. We’ll gain insight into grading fancy color diamonds from Brian Denney, FGA, DGA, ICGA, GIA GG, recognized worldwide as an expert in colored diamonds.
