Arch Crown Releases Updated Catalog for Jewelry Tagging, Labeling, and Bar Code Systems

(PRESS RELEASE) Arch Crown has released a 48-page catalog featuring more than 100 styles of stock, pre-printed, and custom printed tags and labels, along with a full range of bar code technology products. The catalog includes options for custom thermal transfer tags with logo, pricing, and descriptive information, available with or without bar codes. Poly-Lam thermal transfer computer string and barbell-style tags are designed for durability and consistent print quality, with text and bar code images intended to resist rubbing and wear.

The catalog also outlines complete bar code packages for jewelry retailers that want to print and scan bar code tags in-house. Available systems include the GoDEX GE300 thermal transfer printer, DataTagger and BarTender label design software for Windows, and the Honeywell Voyager 1250g single-line scanner. These packages are designed for businesses that do not currently have bar code printing capability. Technical support is available through authorized, factory-trained technicians.

In addition to tags and labels, Arch Crown offers custom printed ring holder display cards, as well as folding bracelet and necklace cards. These products allow retailers to include their logo and store information on presentation materials used at the point of sale and for gifting.

The catalog also features custom molded plastic tags intended for jewelry presentation and inventory control. Secure-Lock molded tags labeled “Not Returnable If Removed” are designed to be tamper-resistant and are suited for in-store and online sales. Once closed, these tags cannot be reopened without cutting the cord. Molded tags are available in both custom and pre-printed formats.

Free samples and a copy of the new catalog are available by calling 1-800-526-8353 or visiting ArchCrown.com

Honoring a Legacy: How Smith & Son Jewelers Exceeded Every Goal With Wilkerson

When Andrew Smith decided to close the Springfield, Massachusetts location of Smith & Son Jewelers, the decision came down to family. His father was retiring after 72 years in the business, and Andrew wanted to spend more time with his children and soon-to-arrive grandchildren. For this fourth-generation jeweler whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1918, closing the 107-year-old Springfield location required the right partner. Smith chose Wilkerson, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. "Everything they told me was 100% true," Smith says. "The ease and use of all their tools was wonderful." The consultants' knowledge and expertise proved invaluable. Smith and his father set their own financial goal, but Wilkerson proposed three more ambitious targets. "We thought we would never make it," Smith explains. "We were dead wrong. We hit our first goal, second goal and third goal. It was amazing." Smith's recommendation is emphatic: "I would never be able to do what they did by myself."
