Cartier Unveils Renovated NYC Flagship After More Than 2 Years

It’s “a museum-like space with salons dedicated to some of the brand’s most famous clients.”

Hollywood Reporter got an inside look at Cartier’s newly renovated mansion on Fifth Avenue in New York. The structure closed more than two years ago, and the news outlet reports that the reopening — Cartier offered a media tour on Tuesday — proved well worth the wait. The mansion, designed in 1904 and acquired by Pierre Cartier in 1917, is described as “a museum-like space with salons dedicated to some of the brand’s most famous clients.” That means plenty of nods to icons such as Gary Cooper, Elizabeth Taylor and Princess Grace of Monaco, according to Hollywood Reporter, which published several photos of the refurbished space. Cartier moved into an 8,000-square-foot space in the General Motors Building, just north of the mansion site, during the renovation.
