Dua Lipa Went Back to the ‘90s for Her Look at London Premiere of Barbie

DUA LIPA CONTINUES to go from subtle to all-out statement-making, and at the Barbie premiere in London in July it was the latter. She was in head-to-toe Versace from the La Vacanza collection, which she co-designed with creative director Donatella Versace and debuted at the Cannes Film Festival.

Although the total look was an explosion of pop color and sparkle, let’s concentrate on the jewelry, which has a nostalgic, over-the-top ’90s flair.

Butterflies (a trend in fine jewelry at present) were freely flitting about as rings on her fingers and ears and on the Versace Medusa Medallion necklace-choker that had multiple motifs. She also wore a Crystal Butterfly Cuff to complete the look.

Lipa’s style drew from runway trends that suggested “go big or go home.”

But the one thing I would really like to know is, Can I have these Versace pieces as jewelry for the new Barbie — or perhaps for  myself?
