Here’s What Jewelers Are Thankful for This Year

They’re not shy about expressing gratitude.

It’s easy to complain about the ups and downs of business and life, and sometimes it’s therapeutic. But jewelers know there’s also plenty to be grateful for. And they’re not shy about expressing their appreciation for the good things in life.

We asked our Facebook audience and the popular Jewelers Helping Jewelers group, “What are you thankful for?”

Here are some of the responses:

To still be here. This is our 50th year in business. Stevie Bartle, Bartle Jewelers, Mukwonago, WI

I am thankful for the amount of joy I can bring to my community with the gift of fine jewelry. Steve Weiss, Kirk Jewelers, Westlake Village, CA

I’m thankful that my clients often become my friends. Keith Fayett, K&K Jewelers, Largo, FL

Being able to make someone’s day by simply polishing and cleaning their jewelry at no charge. It still makes me smile and love my job 33 years later. Ted Blais, Ted’s Creative Jewelers Inc., Southampton MA

My wonderful husband … we had our 40-year anniversary in August. Candace Mackley, Lollars Jewelry, Longview, TX

I’m thankful for not having to work at some crappy job I hate. Justin Kirby, The Silvershop, Powdersville, SC

I am thankful to make a living doing what I love. Joshua M. Hyman, J Hyman & Co, Philadelphia, PA

Being in America! Aleah Arundale, Olympian Diamonds, Chicago, IL

I’m grateful for my support network of family and friends who encourage me to do what I love, and for my wonderful clients who value the work that I do! Caylee Kozak, Karat Cake Consulting, Boston, MA

I’m thankful for my two employees that are more like my brother and sister. Greg Steele, Reagan Steele Jewelers, Sayre, PA

I am thankful to have been blessed by 30 years in business with all its ups and down. My faith in God. My son, James Keanu-Reichel. The best clients that are part of our extended family. I love every day coming to work — I never know who will visit or what exciting heirlooms I may be entrusted with. Brenda K. Reichel, Carats & Karats Fine Jewelry Antiques & Collectibles, Honolulu, HI

I’m thankful that I love my work and the people I share it with. Happy Thanksgiving! Ray Lantz, The Diamond Center, Claremont, CA
