IGJS Rescheduled, Will Take Place from 18th – 20th July 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) GJEPC has rescheduled the International Gem & Jewellery Show (IGJS) to a new date, citing serious concerns globally pertaining to the outbreak of respiratory illness caused by coronavirus adversely affecting everyone’s travel plans. Now, the show will be organized from 18th -20th July 2020 in JECC Jaipur.

Pramod Agrawal, chairman, GJEPC said, “Fighting the Covid-19 should be the priority as it’s spreading and becoming a global emergency. Considering the concerns and sensitivities of the countries impacted, the health & safety of exhibitors and visitors, after much deliberation with buyers and other stake holders, the Council has rescheduled the IGJS show to the new dates i.e. 18th – 20th July 2020 at JECC Jaipur.”

“We have received a fabulous response from both Exhibitors as well as Buyers at this very first edition of an Exclusive Export Oriented Show. We are hoping that the situation improves, and everything gets back to normal soon.” Agrawal added.

The buyer company registration numbers for International Gem and Jewellery Show (IGJS) as on today stands at around 600 buyer companies from 56 countries which includes Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, England, Egypt, Fiji, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordon, Kenya, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Oman, Palestine, Peru, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Uganda, UK, USA, Uzbekistan, while 230+ exhibitors have confirmed participation from all over India.

Promoting Brand India has been one of the top agendas of the Council. The exhibitors onboard will showcase the best range of gems and jewelry. IGJS hopes to provide a unique opportunity for Indian manufacturers to expand their client base and get a feel of the world market.

The Council aims to push exports of the Indian gem and jewelry sector across all product categories. The standout show that will offer enhanced customer experience aims to bring together all Indian gem and jewelry exporters on the new, single platform that will focus on boosting business.
