International Jewellery London Names Show Manager

(PRESS RELEASE) International Jewellery London announced that Sarah Kitley-Spencer has been appointed as the show’s event manager, with Fotoulla Michael continuing to lead sales on this international brand.

Kitley-Spencer has worked at IJL for the past seven years and Reed Exhibitions for 10 years.

In her former position as marketing manager at IJL, Kitley-Spencer worked closely with her predecessor, Sam Willoughby, and the wider team to expand the show commercially, both nationally and internationally. She has been involved in implementing many of the market-leading features at IJL 2017, including the newly formatted seminar program and the innovative 365-day strategy, encompassing content marketing, social media and industry support.

Kitley-Spencer said, “I am thrilled to be taking up this position. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of helping to develop IJL as a high-profile platform – not just for buying but also networking, education and mentoring. The team and I have been actively involved in creating new and inspiring initiatives for the show and we are all looking forward to working with the industry and developing the show further.

“I have a real passion for the jewelry industry, both in the UK and internationally, so it is very exciting to take on this new challenge, especially in this fast-moving age of social media, e-commerce and innovative retail experiences.”

Michael added, “Jewelry never goes out of fashion and this friendly, dynamic industry continues to innovate – I love working with our customers to showcase their new products to an ever-growing international audience.”

Kitley-Spencer will report to Jacks Thomas, whose group includes The London Book Fair, which she has headed up for the four years that she has been at Reed Exhibitions. Before joining the company, Thomas was previously the CEO of Midas PR, a communications agency serving the creative industries.
