Jewelers for Children Announces Board of Director Elections

(PRESS RELEASE)NEW YORK — The Jewelers for Children has completed its annual board of director elections and has added eight new directors and re-elected five, as of October 1. Alan Zimmer, president and CEO of Reeds Jewelers in Wilmington, NC was re-elected as chair for another term.

Additionally, a slate of officers were re-elected for one-year terms: They are Katherine Bodoh, American Gem Society/American Gem Society Laboratories, vice-president for charity programs, Jeffrey Cohen, Citizen Watch America, vice-president for fundraising, Eric Zuckerman, Pac Team Group, vice-president for special programs, Jenny Luker, Platinum Guild International, vice-president marketing and public relations, Jake Duneier, Clyde Duneier, secretary, Alexis Padis, Padis Jewelry, Legacy of Hope and Charles Stanley, De Beers Group, treasurer. Debra Puzio continues as immediate past chair and chair of the nominating committee.

New directors who were elected to three-year terms are Rick Beckett, Skeie’s Jewelers, Brecken Farnsworth, Idaho Opal and Gem/Parlé, Susan Jacques, Gemological Institute of America, David Hurley, Watches of Switzerland, Michael Langhammer, Quality Gold, Scott McQuaid, In House Jewelers, Luciano Radembusch, Pandora Jewelry, and Jillian Roig, J.C. Penney

The five directors who were elected to second terms are Lisa Bridge, Ben Bridge Jeweler, Adam Gerber, Goldstar Jewellery, LLC, Eric Horowitz, Citizen Watch America, and Katie Zimmerman, Blue Nile.

Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need. Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $ 60 million to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect.
