Board elections held at semi-annual meeting in New York.
Jewelers of America has elected two new industry leaders to its board of directors at its semi-annual board meeting in New York on July 23. The new directors are Mike Alexander, of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, and Ronda Daily, of Bremer Jewelry. The new directors will serve through 2019.
Daily is president and CEO of Bremer Jewelry, with stores located in Peoria and Bloomington, IL. She is a registered AGS Registered Jeweler and GIA Graduate Gemologist with experience in retail sales, finance, marketing and advertising.
Alexander recently joined Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company in Neenah, WI as its senior VP of commercial lines. Prior to joining Jewelers Mutual, he was the senior VP of national sales and strategy at National General Insurance. He also serves on the board for the YMCA of the Fox Cities.
During the meeting, JA’s executive team and board thanked outgoing directors Brian Mann of David Mann Inc. in Potomac, MD; and Teresa Saldivar of Teresa’s Jewelers in Santa Ana, CA. “We thank Brian and Teresa for their service to our association and their unwavering commitment to Jewelers of America members,” says JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte.
JA’s board of directors is led by an executive committee comprised of Chairman Ryan Berg, Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry; Chair-Elect John Henne, Henne Jewelers; Vice Chair Mark Light, Sterling Jewelers Inc.; Vice Chair Holly Wesche, Wesche Jewelers; Treasurer Coleman Clark, BC Clark Jewelers; and Secretary Cathy Tivol, TIVOL.
